M Born in Seattle, Washington in 1891,Harold Davies hogan his art training at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington in 1906. It is amazing that an artist whose train- ing was acquired before the ”Armory Show in 1913”in this country should have found his mature expression in the approach of the ”abstract expressionist” movemont, a movement which developed largely in the Hamptons. Tho intensity of color Mr. Davies achieves is carefully developed to function «s an attribute of his basic design conception.
